How does a firewall interfere with Moonlight and cause Error Code 203?

Firewalls can block incoming or outgoing connections to the Moonlight server. You need to create a rule in your firewall to allow traffic on port 47993 (UDP and TCP) to and from the server's IP address. Temporarily disabling the firewall (for testing purposes only) can help determine if it's the cause.
